2026 WINNERS!
On April 28, SCEDA’s Emerging Leaders Committee hosted its 5th Annual Golf Tournament at the Quixote Club in Sumter, continuing what has become one of the organization’s signature networking and fundraising events.
Originally launched during Richard Blackwell’s tenure as SCEDA President, the Emerging Leaders Committee was created as a way to engage and connect the next generation of economic development professionals across South Carolina. Now under the direction of Caroline Warner, the committee has continued to expand its programming and networking opportunities. Over the past five years, Brantley Strickland has helped guide the golf tournament’s planning and direction, including helping establish the tournament’s longstanding relationship with the Quixote Club, which hosted the event for the third time this year.
The 2026 tournament once again sold out, bringing together nearly 100 golfers and volunteers from across the state in support of SCEDA’s mission and programs.
Congrats to Seamon Whiteside’s team, Kris Phillips, John Fordree, and Ryan Moffitt. Congratulations also to Kris, who recorded a hole-in-one during tournament play.
