SCEDA Women

The Women of SCEDA will focus on the following initiatives for the 2023-2024 Membership Year:

Professional Development
Join us next Spring for a half day professional development training to help SCEDA Women advance their careers. The event will include a professional development speaker followed by a luncheon and “Women Behind The Projects” showcase to highlight the roles women are playing in SC projects. More details will be provided as the program is developed, but right now we could use your thoughts and ideas on who might be a good speaker or topic for the professional development portion of the program. Philanthropy
Thank you to all who brought your gently used, professional clothing donations to SCEDA’s Annual Conference for East Cooper Outreach. Since this was a great success, we will continue to do this at future SCEDA meetings.

Mentoring
We will plan to expand and strengthen the structure for SCEDA’s growing mentoring program and will be sure to highlight this program throughout the year at existing events. Thank you to everyone who has connected with your mentor/mentees already.

Community Outreach
The SCEDA Women’s committee will continue to discuss and decide how SCEDA Women can focus on workforce challenges through outreach to high school and college students. We may be reaching out to you for more input as we move forward.
