Director of Marketing

Position Overview
This position manages and directs marketing initiatives for the Central SC Alliance, and assists
members with various marketing and creative needs. This includes directing concept, design and
production of marketing collateral, presentations, graphics and other creative materials for both
internal and external audiences. Responsibility for social media outreach, as well as assisting with
marketing missions, lead generation data, research and events when needed.
This position reports directly to the President & CEO.
Primary Duties
 Create and execute a robust marketing strategy which aligns with the mission and goals of
 Maintaining the organization’s marketing contacts database
 Working with the Director of Research to design, implement and maintain the organization’s
 Managing all social media for the organization including identifying opportunities for
communications and enhanced branding
 Assist where needed in the compiling of research and database information for CSCA
publications, industrial prospect questionnaires, general data requests, etc. in conjunction
with the Director of Research.
 Perform marketing support for prospects and suspects and any marketing follow-up activities
as needed
 Manage and execute the planning, organizing, design and production of newsletters, email
blasts, brochures, etc.
 Assist in the planning, organizing of CSCA events; may also assist in the development and
execution of events for members
 Aid members in generating marketing collateral including, but not limited to, advertisements,
brochures, social posts, and website consulting
Skills Required
 Ability to use computerized databases, experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other
database management systems is preferred.
 Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe
Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.) and experience in Final Cut
Pro, Flash, IMovie, and ArcGIS are preferred.
 Online research capabilities and social media management experience is required.
 Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
 Establish and maintain external relationships and work effectively with local and state
public/private investors and allies.
 Effectively manage multiple projects while utilizing strong organizational skills.
 Be a team player willing to assist staff with assigned tasks
 Provide excellent customer service with an energetic and positive outlook.
 Perform tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
Education Requirements
 BA or BS Degree required
