Regular Membership ($295/year)
Be a part of South Carolina’s premier association dedicated to enhancing professional development
in the field of economic development. Regular membership is open to any person who by job scope
has substantial interest in the economic development of the state of South Carolina. Membership in
the Association shall reside with the individual and shall not be in the name of the company/organization.
Regular Membership plus Partner Link ($370/year)
Includes the benefits of Regular Membership plus a weblink on our Partner Links page to your
Retired Membership ($35/year)
Retired membership is open to those persons who have retired from an economic development position
and are not serving as a paid consultant.

SCEDA memberships run from July 1 – June 30 each year.
Approximately 60% of your membership dues for the 2022-23 fiscal year are tax deductible as a business expense, but not as a charitable contribution.
SCEDA offers scholarships to the Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC), the Economic Development Institute (EDI) at the University of Oklahoma and the South Carolina Economic Development Institute (The Institute). Scholarships help off set registration, transportation, lodging, and associated costs. Please visit our scholarship page for more information.

SCEDA offers a year-long sponsorship program for members. There is great value in these sponsorship packages and something for everyone at each level.
SCEDA also hosts an online membership directory, accessible to members only. Please login to your account and you will see the Directory link.
Annual, mid-year, and membership meetings; legislative receptions; and network-only events provide members with numerous opportunities to discuss business while participating in educational activities.
SCEDA contracts with a lobbyist to provide lobbying services for the Association. As a member, your participation on the grassroots level is very important in making SCEDA SC’s Voice for Economic Development! During the legislative session, members receive a weekly update on legislative activities.

SOUTH CAROLINA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE
As a primary sponsor of The Institute program, SCEDA members are encouraged to attend this basic introduction into economic development. Curriculum during the four-session program focuses on community development, financing economic developent, and business recruitment, retention, and expansion.
SOUTH CAROLINA ADVANCED ECONOMIC DEVELOPERS’ SYMPOSIUM
Designed as a South Carolina-specific advanced economic development course, this SCEDA- sponsored program covers issues that are pertinent to South Carolina’s development efforts. Topic emphasis includes: regulatory issues, infrastructure development, and marketing, in addition to site and building development.
SCEDA’s year-long Metal Sponsorship Program offers members an excellent value for sponsorship opportunities.
With a diverse membership of more than 750+, the Sponsorship Program offers your company excellent exposure across the state.
Each level – Titanium, Palladium, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze – provides members with a variety of sponsorship recognition at SCEDA’s events, on the website, in the membership directory and various communications.
