Columbia, SC – On March 7th, SCEDA Women hosted an empowering session aimed at highlighting women’s voices in economic development initiatives. The event, held at The River Center at Saluda Shoals, featured a lineup of speakers and panelists, including guest speaker Betty Parker from Columbia.

Attendees experienced invaluable insights from Betty Parker on how to amplify their contributions to meaningful discussions and strategies for supporting and uplifting other women in the field. 

Following a networking lunch, a panel discussion titled “The Women Behind The Projects” showcased inspiring stories from women who have led and contributed their voices to various economic development endeavors across the state. Moderated by Stephanie Grosick from Florence Economic Development, the panel featured Morgan Harrell from Dominion, Sarah White from GLS Consultants, and Angela Musselwhite from S&ME.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn from the experiences and successes of these accomplished women, gaining valuable insights into effective leadership and collaboration in economic development projects.
